To the editor:
I would like to share my disappointment in the leadership of the Whatcom Museum.
Upon recently seeing the Winter Catalog (Vol 14, No 1), I was troubled and saddened by the picture showing big smiles and ready acceptance of grants from U.S. Bank ($4,000) and Kinder Morgan ($1,500).
As this Museum is an integral part of the community, it is a poor reflection upon all of us that we can denounce so loudly the DAPL and let our own city fall into the hands of the same corporations.
In my opinion, we should insist that the city of Bellingham more fully support the Museum (I am happy to pay more taxes in this regard) than to let the current leadership solicit and accept monies from dirty places.
