Whatcom Watch Needs Help

We need you, if you can dedicate a couple of years to helping us at Whatcom Watch.

1) We could use help with layout, if you have experience with InDesign. You would work from home. You would work with Bill McCallum, our longtime layout manager extraordinaire.

2) We lost the person who sent out renewal notices for subscriptions and Bill took over that job. But, Bill is extremely busy with other Whatcom Watch duties, so we need someone to take over that task.

3) We need an associate editor to help with editorial duties. Sally Hewitt, longtime editor, edits every article, all text in each issue, then proofreads the text again, and proofreads the final paper one more time. She could use some assistance with her duties.

We think retired people might have the time needed for these tasks, as we can’t pay our volunteers and those of us who work on the paper spend lots of hours trying to produce a top-notch piece of work. Whatcom Watch is essentially a labor of love. We think some of you who subscribe might want to join our dedicated team.

If you’re interested in joining us, please contact Bill McCallum at (360) 649-2148 or email him at: bill@whatcomwatch.org.
