Whatcom Watch has completed 27 years of reporting votes. We’re committed to continuing to report on votes; we feel they’re a valuable contribution to our community — and subscribers affirmed in a recent survey that the votes are valuable to them.
Our vote coverage was uneven during the first three years, but has been comprehensive over the past 24 years. We’ve covered a total of 1,851 meetings: 720 were city meetings, 606 were county meetings and 525 were port meetings. The Whatcom Watch also serves as a community forum by publishing articles submitted from members of the community. While opinions expressed in articles need not reflect the views of editors, the newspaper strives to present material that is of value and concern to the community.
